Prevention of Heart Attack and Stroke.
Clopid-As Tablet is a combination of two antiplatelet medicines: Aspirin and Clopidogrel which prevent heart attack. They work by preventing the platelets from sticking together and decreasing the formation of harmful blood clots.
Common side effects include bleeding, diarrhea, stomach pain, hemorrhage, and skin reactions. Rare side effects include acquired hemophilia, anemia, angioedema, arthralgia, arthritis, and bone marrow abnormalities.
Clopid-AS, a blood thinner or a combination of two antiplatelet medications, is prescribed to reduce the risk of dangerous blood clots in blood vessels. It is beneficial for individuals with heart disease, helping prevent heart attacks or strokes. The medication should be taken consistently at regular intervals, preferably with food, as directed by the doctor.
Clopidogrel, the active ingredient, inhibits platelet activation and aggregation by binding irreversibly to platelet P2Y12 ADP receptors. A single oral dose can dosage-dependently inhibit platelet aggregation two hours later. Repeated doses of 75 mg per day lead to a stable antiplatelet effect between Days 3 and 7.
Clopid is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to any component, the medication substance, or active pathological bleeding, such as cerebral hemorrhage or peptic ulcer.
